Connection
For a new installation, or a modification to an existing installation, the procedure briefly entails the customer sending a quotation request for a connection, after which the electricity grid operator responds with a quotation and grid agreement. The customer must then contact an electrician or consultant who will complete a detailed preliminary application.
The electricity grid operator responds with an installation approval, after which the electrician responds by reporting the installation as complete when it is ready for connection.
Installation procedure
Explanations of the flow and the installation procedure between customer, electrician and electricity grid operator:
- The property owner/customer submits a request for a quotation for a new electricity connection or a modification to the existing electricity connection to the electricity grid operator.
- The grid owner sends a quotation for the connection and a grid agreement to the property owner/customer, and advises the property owner/customer to engage an electrician.
- The property owner/customer accepts the quotation and returns the signed grid agreement to the electricity grid operator.
- The grid operator confirms receipt of the accepted quotation to the property owner/customer.
- The property owner/customer engages an electrician, who in turn submits a detailed preliminary application.
- The electricity grid operator sends an installation approval and documentation for notification of completion to the engaged electrician, with a copy to the property owner/customer.
- When the work has been completed and the installation is ready for connection, the electrician sends a notification of completion to the electricity grid operator.

Make a note of the meter reading
The meter reading and reading date must be noted in the information field on the notification of completion in the event of any changes that affect the relationship between grid owner and customer. This may, for example, involve a changed meter fuse or changed consumption (common for the installation of, for example, a heat pump).
