Nordion Energi conducts a market research survey on hydrogen
Hydrogen will play a significant role in Sweden’s future energy system. Nordion Energi, the transmission system operator for the existing gas grid, has taken on a leading role in developing the hydrogen infrastructure of the future. As part of this work, a market research survey aimed at producers and consumers of hydrogen will be conducted between May and August to identify the need for and opportunities created by a future hydrogen network.
The market research survey, which is now being conducted for the second time, is part of Nordion Energi’s ongoing work to plan and develop the hydrogen infrastructure. All planned projects related to hydrogen, both big and small, are invited to submit information. The results will be presented at an aggregated level. Details of individual companies or projects will not be disclosed to third parties.
It will also be possible to supplement or submit new data after August, when the window closes for the current market research survey.
Nordion Energi is currently a partner in two major cross-border projects, the Nordic Hydrogen Route and the Baltic Sea Hydrogen Collector, which were awarded SEK 500 million from the EU’s CEF fund this spring to proceed to the next planning phase. The market research survey will help in both the planning of these projects and the identification of other areas where a common infrastructure can create significant value.
