The partnership between Dala Energi and Nordion Energi has been completed
Earlier this year, Nordion Energi and Dala Energi agreed to enter into a partnership with joint ownership of Dala Energi's power grid, fiber network, and infrastructure services. All conditions have now been met, and today the transaction is finalized as 51 percent of the shares in the newly formed company, to which the operations have been transferred, are transferred to Nordion Energi.
- Now we can begin the journey of developing the operations together. The power grids in Sweden face significant challenges that require investments in green transition and digitalization. By combining our different areas of expertise, we enable initiatives that can strengthen the operations and create greater value for customers, says Hans Kreisel, CEO of Nordion Energi.
The completion of the deal marks an important milestone in the collaboration, resulting in the newly formed company now being jointly managed. According to the agreement, Nordion Energi will own 51 percent of the joint company, while Dala Energi will hold 49 percent. The municipalities of Rättvik, Leksand, and Gagnef have been offered an option to purchase half of Dala Energi's shares in the new company, corresponding to 24.5 percent of the shares, an option they have indicated they intend to exercise.
- The joint effort to develop our new organization begins now. In the long term, this will enable us to create better offerings for our customers and adapt our networks to the changes occurring in the world around us, says Bengt Östling, CEO of Dala Energi.
The board of the newly formed company, currently operating under the working name Denevis AB, has appointed Åsa Bergqvist as interim CEO of the company, including its subsidiaries Dala Energi Elnät AB, Dala Energi Fibernät AB and Denevis Solution AB.
- Åsa has served as Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer at Dala Energi for two years and leads a significant part of our operations. Åsa has both the experience and dedication needed to guide us forward on this journey. We are very pleased that she is taking on this role and are confident it will lead to positive developments for our employees and the partnership, says Bengt Östling.
- I look forward to leading the newly formed company and working alongside our skilled employees. Together with Nordion Energi, we will develop sustainable and innovative solutions that strengthen both our customers' and society's needs for reliable infrastructure, says Åsa Bergqvist.
