Anders Östlund Appointed New Board Member of Nordion Energi

Energy infrastructure company Nordion Energi welcomes Anders Östlund as a new member of its Board of Directors. Anders Östlund has extensive experience in the energy sector; he previously served as CEO of Öresundskraft and has also been CEO of E.ON Värme as well as a member of E.ON Sweden’s executive management team. He is strongly engaged in issues relating to the importance of the energy sector for a sustainable society, including through his work on the Skåne Power Commission’s Roadmap 2030.

Nordion Energi specializes in energy infrastructure and currently owns and operates infrastructure for gas, electricity, and fiber networks. The company is also driving development initiatives within hydrogen, such as the Nordic Hydrogen Route, and carbon capture (CCUS).

Anders Östlund’s solid and broad experience from the energy sector, as well as his understanding of the role of energy companies in a municipal context, will be valuable in Nordion Energi’s continued development and growth.

- I share Nordion Energi’s ambition to create societal value through its operations, where collaboration with different stakeholders is key to success. The importance of the energy industry for both a sustainable and resilient society has become increasingly evident in recent years, and I very much look forward to contributing my perspectives to the work of Nordion Energi’s Board of Directors, says Anders Östlund.

Anders Östlund, new board member

As Anders Östlund takes up his position, Stefan Seipl, who has served as a board member since Nordion Energi was established in 2019, will step down from the Board.

- I am pleased to welcome Anders Östlund to Nordion Energi’s Board of Directors. The company’s strategy is to be an important partner in the development of strong energy systems, and Anders Östlund’s experience will be highly valuable in this work. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Stefan Seipl for his dedicated contributions during an important phase of the company’s development,” says Anders Sundström, Chairman of the Board of Nordion Energi.

- Since the formation of Nordion Energi, the company has evolved from a leading gas infrastructure company into a business with strong engagement also within electricity and fiber, as well as in the fields of hydrogen and CCUS. I would like to thank the entire Nordion team, management, and owners for the opportunity to contribute to this exciting journey,” says Stefan Seipl.

Stefan Seipl will step down from the Board in connection with the Annual General Meeting in May, when Anders Östlund officially assumes his position.
