Nordion Energi brings in experts with a focus on industry’s hydrogen needs

Nordion Energi, which specialises in energy infrastructure, is reinforcing its initiative in hydrogen infrastructure and hiring additional experts in this area – Björn Santana Arvidsson, and recently Mox Murugan and Anders Järvelä.

“Hydrogen has an important role to play in the energy transition. Not least, we’re seeing significant demand for fossil-free green hydrogen, driven by major industrial initiatives. We’re therefore very pleased to be able to team up with Björn Santana Arvidsson, who together with Mox Murugan and Anders Järvelä, who were also hired recently, to drive our ambitions forward,” says Hans Kreisel, CEO of Nordion Energi.

Björn Santana Arvidsson is hired as Deputy Managing Director and takes up his position on 1 February 2023. Björn has more than 25 years’ experience from leading roles in the industrial gas sector, primarily Linde/AGA, with international assignments as business area manager for large-scale gas supplies, project manager for investment projects, responsibility for planning/sourcing in operations, etc.

Björn arrives from his most recent role as Area Manager Nordics & UK and Chief Executive Advisor at Lhyfe, a leading producer and supplier of green hydrogen, where he was responsible for developing the business and organisation, primarily in Northern Europe, to speed up the energy transition.

Mox Murugan, Business Development Director. Took up position in September 2022. Mox arrives from his most recent role as CCO (Chief Operating Officer) at Invest in Norrbotten, where he worked on investments in northern Sweden with a focus on the region’s natural resources, in particular green hydrogen. He has extensive experience of environmental issues and investments in renewable and sustainable growth for communities in different parts of the world.

Anders Järvelä, Commercial Director. Took up position in December 2022. Anders has extensive experience from leading positions in the energy industry and currently works as Head of Corporate Development at Skellefteå Kraft. He is also a board member at a number of companies in the energy sector, including Charge Amps, Sekab and Mellansvensk Kraftgrupp AB.

Hydrogen will take on an increasingly major role in managing the industrial sector’s transition and enabling many sectors in society to achieve their climate goals, as hydrogen can be used as feedstock, fuel and/or energy carrier, and has many possible applications in the industrial, transport and energy sectors. Nordion Energi’s goal is to drive the energy transition to a society with 100% green energy, and investing in new, efficient hydrogen infrastructure is extremely important in making this possible. Nordion Energi is involved in a number of hydrogen initiatives: these include the Nordic Hydrogen Route, which was launched in spring 2022 together with Gasgrid Finland, and in December 2022, the Baltic Sea Hydrogen Collector (BHC) collaborative project was launched together with Gasgrid Finland, OX2 and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
