Nordion Energi brings in new employees with a focus on industry’s hydrogen needs

Nordion Energi, which specialises in energy infrastructure, is now reinforcing its initiatives in hydrogen infrastructure and hiring new employees with extensive experience of the green transition, with a focus on hydrogen – Mox Murugan and Anders Järvelä.

“Hydrogen has a decisive role to play in the energy transition. Not least, we’re seeing significant demand for fossil-free green hydrogen, driven by major industrial initiatives. We’re therefore delighted to be able to bring in experienced and innovative employees in order to take our ambitions one step further. Both have solid experience of working with issues relating to the needs of industry when it comes to the green transition,” says Hans Kreisel, CEO of Nordion Energi.

Mox Murugan is employed as Business Development Director, taking up his position on 19 September 2022. Mox arrives from his most recent role as CCO (Chief Operating Officer) at Invest in Norrbotten, where he worked on investments in northern Sweden with a focus on the region’s natural resources, in particular green hydrogen. He has extensive experience in environmental issues and investments in renewable and sustainable growth for communities in different parts of the world.

Anders Järvelä is employed as Commercial Director, taking up his position in December 2022. Anders has extensive experience from leading positions in the energy industry and currently works as Head of Corporate Development at Skellefteå Kraft. He is also a board member at a number of companies in the energy sector, including Charge Amps, Sekab and Mellansvensk Kraftgrupp AB.

Hydrogen is crucial in the transition of the energy system and will enable many sectors to achieve their climate goals. Nordion Energi’s goal is to drive the energy transition to a society with 100% green energy, and investing in new, efficient hydrogen infrastructure is extremely important in making this possible. Nordion Energi is involved in a number of hydrogen initiatives: one of them is the Nordic Hydrogen Route, which was launched in spring 2022 together with Gasgrid Finland. By building a cross-border hydrogen infrastructure in the Gulf of Bothnia, we can strengthen self-sufficiency in energy and guarantee access to an open, reliable and safe hydrogen market.
